Membership

Subject to the limitation of facilities anc resouces available, membership of Shandon Boat Club is open to anyone interested in the sport of rowing regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs.

Shandon Boat Club offers membership to all interested in competitive rowing or to those interested in supporting the club in its development of sporting and related activities. Rowing membership is normally restricted to those over 11 years of age.

Current membership fees for the period 1st November 2010 to the 31st October 2012 are:

Members not charged a subscription:

Associate Members      (Parents of Junior Members).

Life Members              (Elected by the committee and membership).

 

New Members/Beginners

First two weeks :    free of charge.
Next six weeks:    €50.00 (deducted from full membership fee if subsequently applied for and granted)

 Boat Storage

Rack spaces for members privately owned boats may be available subject to the agreement of the Committee.    Rowing membership fees must be paid in addition to the boat storage fee.

The rate for singe sculls for the period 1st November to the 31st October is €150

Privately owned boats must be insured by their owners.
